Payment reminders on WhatsApp: automatic follow-ups for unpaid orders

In A3malak you turn on ready-made reminders for confirmed, unpaid orders from Automation: a message with the payment link an hour after confirmation, a last reminder before the stock hold ends, and a task for your team if the order is still unpaid. They stop on their own once the order is paid or cancelled, and you see how many orders were paid after a reminder.

Why payments stall

Many customers confirm an order and then get busy. A short, well-timed message with the payment link is usually enough, and you don’t have to chase each order yourself.

Turn on the ready-made reminders

In Automation → Ready-made, pick a template, read "What it does", then press "Use this template" and "Turn on":

• "Abandoned order recovery": a message with the payment link an hour after the order is confirmed, and a last reminder two hours before the stock hold ends. Abandoned here means an order the customer confirmed but didn’t pay.
• "Unpaid order reminder": if the order is still waiting for payment 6 hours after the link was sent.
• "Idle unpaid order needs follow-up": after 24 hours unpaid, the customer is flagged for follow-up and a task is created for the staff member on the chat.

Reminders stay off until you turn them on, and they count toward your plan’s active-automation limit. They stop on their own once the order is paid or cancelled.

Stock hold

In Settings → Orders & delivery → Orders & returns, set "Hold time (hours)", which is 24 hours unless you change it. When it ends, the stock is free for other customers, and the last reminder tells the customer when the hold ends.

The 24-hour window

Regular messages go out only within 24 hours of the customer’s last message, and Meta doesn’t charge for them. After that, regular messages aren’t sent, and "Unpaid order reminder" uses an approved template that Meta charges for (see What WhatsApp messages cost).

See what came back

On the Automation page, "Recovered (30 days)" shows the orders paid after a reminder out of all the orders that got one.
