Delivery zones, fees and time slots for your WhatsApp orders
In A3malak you define delivery zones by city, district, postal code or a radius around your branch, each with its own fee, minimum order and free-delivery amount. You add delivery time slots with a capacity each, so you never take more orders than your team can deliver, and your customer knows when to expect their order.
Add your locations
In Settings → Orders & delivery → Delivery → Add location, enter the branch name and where it is, and choose whether it offers delivery, pickup or both.
Set your delivery zones
In Delivery zones → Add zone, define the zone by one or more of:
- Cities, such as Riyadh.
- Districts, such as Al Yasmin and Al Narjis.
- Postal codes.
- A radius in kilometres around your branch.
If an address matches more than one zone, the most specific wins: postal code, then district, then radius, then city.
Fees and minimums
Each zone has:
- "Flat fee", or "By weight" with a weight table.
- "Minimum order": below it the order can’t be confirmed, and you’re shown the minimum.
- "Free over": free delivery when the order is above this amount.
- "Delivery time (hours)" and a "COD fee".
If an address is outside all your zones, the delivery order can’t be confirmed, and you’re shown whether pickup from one of your branches is available. Until you add your first zone, delivery isn’t limited to any zone.
Delivery time slots
From "Time slots" next to each location, add slots per day with a start, an end and a "Capacity": how many orders the slot can take. When you prepare the order you pick the date and the slot, see how many places are left in each, and a full slot can’t be picked.
Statuses and cash on delivery
Each order has three separate statuses: order, payment and delivery, so you can see, for example, that an order is on its way but not paid yet. In Customer messages you choose which shipping and delivery updates your customer gets on WhatsApp.
A3malak charges no fee on cash on delivery. You can add your own COD fee, and require prepayment from customers who have refused a delivery a number of times you set.
Common questions
Can I make delivery free?
