E-invoices for WhatsApp orders: what you need

A3malak always issues PDF invoices and documents for your orders. If you turn on e-invoicing and finish onboarding to Fatoora, it issues ZATCA-format documents: simplified invoices are reported, standard invoices to businesses are cleared before they reach them, and credit notes follow refunds. It’s off until you turn it on.

Before you turn it on

  • Complete Business identity: legal name, CR, VAT number and National Address.
  • In Settings → Orders & delivery → Invoicing, turn on "E-invoicing (ZATCA)" and enter the OTP from the Fatoora portal. The setting shows Pending until onboarding succeeds.

Once onboarded

  • Simplified invoices for individual customers, reported to ZATCA.
  • Standard tax invoices for businesses with a VAT number, cleared before they reach them.
  • Credit or debit notes with refunds, cancellations and price changes.
  • Automatic issue on payment if you turn it on, and the invoice sent to the customer in the chat.
  • Every document in Invoices: invoices, receipts, credit notes and debit notes.

Before onboarding

You issue PDF invoices and receipts with their own numbering; they aren’t titled "tax invoice" and aren’t reported. If you’re VAT-registered, the setting asks you to acknowledge that.

Prices and VAT

If you’re VAT-registered you can type product prices with or without VAT; customers always see the price with VAT.

Common questions

Does this make me compliant?

A3malak issues ZATCA-format documents once you onboard to Fatoora. Your other tax obligations stay with you, so check with your accountant or ZATCA.

Is e-invoicing in every plan?

Yes: one setting in every plan at no extra cost, off until you turn it on.
